As well as coaching for stress, I use Cognitive Behavioural Hypnotherapy and Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) to explore thoughts or behaviours that are contributing to your stress and overwhelm—so we can identify and rectify unhelpful or inaccurate automatic thoughts.

Clinical Hypnotherapy complements CBT for stress perfectly. Hypnosis facilitates positive change and deep relaxation. Indeed, research shows that adding hypnosis to CBT improves outcomes compared to CBT on its own (Ramondo et al, 2021). You can even learn self-hypnosis to practise on your own.

Evidence supports the practice of mindfulness-based stress reduction (MBSR) and meditation to help manage your mood, reduce stress and relieve worries. Making time for short, mindful meditation exercises is a simple way to downregulate your body and mind during the day.

If you’re worried about the impact stress is having on your mental or physical wellbeing, it’s important to seek help. Therapy can help you learn how to manage stress effectively, providing relief and building resilience and skills that can help you cope with anything life throws at you—now or in the future.

Learn to Cope with and Prevent Stress

When the pressures of life mount up and daily demands become too much to cope with, stress can creep into your life. It’s an unwelcome visitor that can wreak havoc on your mental and physical health, leaving you feeling exhausted, overwhelmed and even lonely. But you don’t need to deal with it by yourself.

If you recognise the signs and symptoms, taking early action to address stressors and implement healthy coping strategies will allow you to avoid chronic stress, and more serious health issues.
